Heat-Free Waves
This hairstyle is done on clean, dry hair at bedtime. Split your hair into two even sections and French braid them, creating a piggy tail effect. Mist a bit of hairspray and go night night. Wake up in the morning, undo the braids, and PRESTO! Lush waves without heat!
Overnight Curls
Overnight curls... no heat!
Things you'll need:
3 socks (the above-the-ankle kind)
Hair Clip
Mousse (optional)
Hairspray (optional)
1. Start with clean, dry hair. (If you have hard to curl hair, I find it best to blow dry your hair and work with it immediately after. I don't know why, but it holds better.)
2. Run some mousse through your hair. (optional)
3. Clip up the top crown section of your hair.
4. Take your remaining hair and seperate it into two pig tails. Take one tail, and tightly wrap the ends around one sock. Wrap the sock all the way up to below your ear, similar to wrapping a curling iron, and tie it tight. THIS WON'T WORK IF IT'S NOT WRAPPED TIGHTLY!
5. Repeat step four with the other tail.
6. Repeat step four with the hair at your crown, except roll up the sock right on top of your head.
7. Hairspray (optional)
8. Go to bed, and in the morning wake up to soft curls.
*Note: It usually takes me some playing around with the curls to get them to look cute. Don't freak out if they're frizzy or something right when you take them out. Twisting them helps to define them better.

Bohemian Bun
A bohemian bun!
1. Take a one inch section of hair near the front of your head on either side of your part. (Make sure you don't take a section RIGHT next to your face. Braid it and secure with any elastic.
2. Repeat step 1 on the other side of your part.
3. Take another one inch section, a little behind the first, but not directly behind. Braid and secure with any elastic.
4. Repeat step 3 on the other side of your part.
5. Take out one of the elastics holding one of your braids, and hold the bottom of the braid in you hand to keep it from unwinding. Do the same with the others, adding the braids to you hands to keep them from coming undone. (This akes practice!)
6. Pull the braids back to the nape of your neck along with the rest of your hair. Twist into any bun of your liking. Secure with an elastic and/or bobby pins.
Presto! A cute bohemian bun!

Solution to Flat Hair
Add oomph to flat hair.
1. Put in a thin headband close to your hairline.
2. Push the hair behind the headband straight back.
3. Tease your hair at your crown and hairspray.
Tah-dah! A headband with some added oomph.

Elegant Braid
An effortless braid that looks like it took forever to do! *This is for longer hair.
1. Pull your hair into a low side ponytail. Secure with a clear elastic.
2. Using your fingers, make a small hole between your hair and the elastic.
3. Take your pony, pull it upwards, then pull it down through the hole you just made. It should make an elegant looped ponytail.
4. Braid the remaning ponytail. I find that either a regular or fish tail looks best. Secure with another clear elastic and you're good to go!
*For a cuter effect, try tying a small bow around your bottom elastic.

Cute Messy Bun
Tired of spending tons of time on your hair in the morning? Try this cute bun!
If you're like me, you hate pulling your hair up nice and tidy. Try brushing out your hair so it's smooth, then using only your fingers, pull it back into a loose bun at the nape of your neck. Loosen up the sides and pull a few strands out for a cute messy look. Mist with hairspray and go!
*This style looks especially cute if you're wearing a dressier outfit. It's the perfect balance of dressy and casual.
